Tony Azevedo is regarded as the top water polo player in the
world. He has been a member of Team USA since he was 18 years
old and was a member of Olympic Teams in Sydney (2000), Athens
(2004) and Beijing (2008). A four-time collegiate player of
the year (2001-04), he set the school-record for scoring as
a Stanford Cardinal with 332 goals. While still in college,
Men's Journal named Tony the world's seventh-best athlete in
2003. Since leaving collge he as been named the U.S. Olympic
Committee's Player of the Year, three times and is currently
playing professionally in Montenegro. He was married to Sara,
his longtime girlfriend, and also a fellow Stanford graduate,
in January, 2010.
