This clinic is a unique opportunity for groups to play and practice with some of the top young water polo athletes and clubs in the world. Each clinic is 10 days long and is tailored around the needs and requirements of the visiting group.

Located along one of Montenegro's most beautiful bays, Kotor is a city of traders, famous sailors, and a long history of water polo. Listed as a UNESCO “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site", the city is also home to two of the top professional teams in the world: VK Primorac and VK Cattaro. Tony has been a member of Primorac since 2009 and helped lead them to the European Championship Semifinals in Naples, Italy this May.

Because water polo is so important to Kotor and to the country of Montenegro, it has fostered some of the best youth clubs in the world that consistently produce many of the sport’s finest athletes. Groups who participate in the Kotor Water Polo Experience will have the unrivaled chance to train and play against the world’s strongest young athletes while also immersing themselves in the unique culture of Kotor and Montenegro.

Tony Azevedo and Coach Matanovic have worked together to create a program that will optimize the 10 day experience and provide a level of water polo training that cannot be found elsewhere. Coach Matanovic has been a professional water polo coach since 2005 and is currently the head coach of the VK Primorac Junior Team. He coached and studied for two years in Pittsburgh and is fluent in English.

KOTOR WATER POLO EXPERIENCE
  Location: Kotor, Montenegro

Swimming Pool: Outdoor pool located in the sea on the Bay of Kotor. This legendary pool was built in 1906 and has served as the primary location for games and practices in the city since that time.

Practice schedule: Two intense daily trainings that include scrimmages with the youth teams from Budva, Jadran and Primorac (all three teams are among the top 10 teams in Europe). Training contains: Offensive drills, Defensive drills, Tactics, Techniques, Shooting drills, Leg work. Accommodation: Four Star Hotel "Royal" in Tivat. This seaside hotel is located only 10 minutes away from the pool and the Old City of Kotor. Meals: Three daily meals at the hotel (included in package). Transport: All transportation will be arranged by Coach Matanovic and is included in the package.
